Statement:
Grief Revisited was made alongside a layered, movable painting called Then the Light Broke Through. I added this rich purple color to both paintings at once, one image describing hope, and this image describing the simultaneous grief of surrender and loss. I love the visceral, blurred and beautiful strokes that convey the texture and worth of our grieving processes.
