I forgave God this morning – I keep trying to start with blank sheets, but the scraps in progress are just so much more interesting… [Etc.]

Statement:  

Emergence is one of my “scrap paintings” that started with random marks made while painting another image. That method set me free to paint, draw, and write with unedited strokes and words to create quick, raw, and energetic images. This painting marked a strong transition in my life, and some of the thoughts and questions behind it.
